Graduates in academic attire convene in designated areas, to line up for the processional.

Commencement Ceremony begins.
Graduates and guests who attend the commencement are required to remain
for the duration of the ceremony, until its conclusion, out of respect for all
degree candidates.

On Commencement Day
(Degree Candidates)
- Complete the colored Name/Photo Card which was included with your invitation and bring them with you to the ceremony. Print your name on the name card phonetically and clearly, just as you wish it to be announced when your degree is conferred.
- Arrive on campus at least 1 hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Graduates in academic attire line up. Look for signs indicating B.S., M.S., Engineer, Ph.D., and Departmental Scholar - and get into the appropriate line according to degree and department. Staff will be present to assist you.
- Student Marshals with yellow and blue fourrageres will lead the processional into the arena and will seat you in the proper section for your degree.
- You will find a card on your seat instructing you when and how to approach the stage to receive your certificate - please follow the lead of the Student Marshals.
